This is the smallest Endomaxx, a complete 150W ceramic metal halide fixture assembled by Helios Greenhouses in Colorado as the 150H. Lamp, ballast, reflector, power cord and hanging hooks all arrive together. The ballast accepts 120 to 240V at 50 to 60 Hz and consumes 165W at 120V or 161W at 240V. That works out to 1.38A at 120V and 0.67A at 240V. Power factor is 98% and ballast THD is under 6%. A 4 kV pulsed-start square-wave circuit strikes the lamp, and thermal overload protection guards the ballast. Rated lamp life is 30,000 hours. It is UL listed under E475228 for the USA and Canada and rated for greenhouse and wet locations. Coverage starts at 12 sq ft with the lamp 30 in above the canopy. Helios lists the fixture as under 10 lbs, with 14 lbs in its spec table, and backs the electronics for 4 years and the lamp for 1. Helios also prints the larger 315 model's lumen rating for this lamp, which cannot be right at this wattage, so no lumen figure is quoted here.

Running the Endomaxx 150 in a grow tent or greenhouse corner

A low-amp draw is what makes this fixture easy to live with. It plugs into an ordinary outlet next to fans and a heat mat without tripping the breaker. In a small grow tent it works as the main light over a few plants. It also fills gaps as a side light beside a larger fixture. Propagation shelves and mother-plant corners suit it too, because young plants do not need heavy intensity. Start it high over seedlings and cuttings, then lower it as they harden off and leaves thicken. The wet-location rating means it can hang over a misted bench or in a humid hobby greenhouse without worry. What it will not do is carry a large flowering canopy on its own. For a full flower room, the Endomaxx 315 or a larger fixture is the better call. Helios publishes no colour temperature or photon figure for the stock lamp, so a PAR meter is the honest way to set hang height. The cord choice decides the plug, not the ballast, since both versions share the same wide-voltage driver.
