Ignition comes from a 4 kV pulsed-start square-wave circuit, and thermal overload protection shuts the ballast down if it overheats. The whole fixture weighs under 10 lbs. It carries UL listing E475228 for the USA and Canada and is rated for greenhouse and wet locations. Coverage starts at 12 sq ft with the lamp 30 in above the canopy.
