Propagation Room Capacity in the EZ-Clone Low Pro 128 Cloning System
This is a commercial-scale cloner that holds 128 cuttings in collars over one misted reservoir. A MAG 750 water pump drives a manifold of misters underneath, so stems hang in fine spray rather than sitting in water or media. The lid and reservoir are molded from UV-protected HDPE, and this version comes in white. Together they stand only 11.125 in tall on a 43.25 x 25 in footprint, low enough to slide under a bench or onto a rack shelf. Alphanumeric markers are formed into the lid, which makes it simple to log several strains across one machine. Four-way finger slots around the sites make collars easier to lift out without tearing new roots. The reservoir has a raised lip, an extended flange and drainage gutters that keep water inside when the lid comes off to check roots. The pump sits on an extended baseplate with extra suction cups, so it stays put on the reservoir floor. It runs on roughly 11 to 20 gal of water. Four colours of cloning collars ship with it, along with a sample set of EZ-COCO collars. The system ships at about 29 lb.
Dialing In an Aeroponic Cloner This Size
Before the first run, flush the bare manifold on the pump in a bucket of water to clear manufacturing debris from the lines. Then fit the misters, center the pump in the reservoir and press its suction feet down. Never plug the pump in until it is fully submerged, because running it dry burns out the motor. EZ-Clone's guide calls for a pH of 5.8 and a light feed of 180 to 280 ppm on the 500 scale. Water should sit between 69 and 75°F, with the room at 70 to 75°F and humidity ideally at 60 to 70%. Take cuttings five to six inches long with a sterile blade, and set them in collars while the pump is running. Check that every collar shows droplets at its base, which confirms the spray is reaching it. Between cycles, run a bleach solution of 48 mL per gallon through the system for twenty minutes to an hour. Then scrub off any film and rinse everything with fresh water. Pull and inspect each mister too, since one clogged nozzle leaves a collar dry. That cleaning routine is the trade-off of any spray cloner, and at this scale it takes real time between batches. Keeping a spare set of misters lets one set soak while the other runs.
Key Features
- 128 cloning sites: Propagation-room capacity sits in one low-profile machine.
- MAG 750 pump and misters: A misting manifold reaches every collar from below.
- Low-profile build: The short lid and reservoir fit under benches or on rack shelves.
- Molded alphanumeric lid: Strains can be tracked site by site without extra labels.
- Leak-resistant reservoir: A raised lip, extended flange and drainage gutters keep water in when the lid lifts.
- Anti-tip pump base: An extended baseplate and extra suction cups keep the pump upright.
- UV-protected HDPE: The plastic is made to hold up under grow-room lighting.
