FloraFlex 2 Gallon Quick Fill O2: Compressed Coco in a Breathable Wrap

This case carries 15 two-gallon QuickFill O2 bags, the mesh-wrapped version of the FloraFlex expandable coco line. Each bag holds super-washed coco peat compressed at roughly 5:1 into a flat block. FloraFlex washes the media to an EC below 0.6 mS/cm by the Dutch 1:1.5 method. It is CDFA and OMRI certified, and every batch is tested for heavy metals. A laser-printed batch number on each bag lets you trace a lot back if a room misbehaves. The difference from the standard QuickFill is the wrapper. Instead of solid PE plastic, the O2 uses a black breathable mesh that lets air move through the sides of the root zone. Each bag arrives pre-drilled with a center hole for a plug and smaller holes for micro drip stakes. The full case weighs about 22.5 lbs, so a single grower can carry it. There is no filling or mixing on the table.

Running O2 Coco for a Drier, Faster Root Zone

O2 coco suits growers who want more air around the roots and quicker drybacks between irrigations. FloraFlex rates the blend at 60% water by volume with 40% air space once fully expanded. The mesh sides let the outer layer of the bag dry faster than a sealed plastic wrap. Expect to irrigate a little more often, especially in warm rooms with strong airflow across the table. FloraFlex recommends expanding with its 2-Way Micro Dripper Assembly, which runs 0.3 GPH per stake. Run the drippers until the block has swelled to full height and every corner feels saturated. Use a complete early-veg feed with calcium and magnesium for that first expansion, not plain water. Set plugs into the center hole partway through, then push loose coco up around them. A dry corner here is easy to miss, so check by hand. For a sealed wrap that holds moisture longer, the plastic-wrapped QuickFill is the better match.
