How to Use This Seaweed Plant Food
Mix 1–2 teaspoons (5–10 mL) per gallon of fresh water. For in-ground and container plants, drench the soil thoroughly and repeat every other week. In hydroponic reservoirs, the rate is the same, and FoxFarm asks for a system flush every two weeks. It works with FoxFarm fertilizers or any other nutrient program. Growers who spray it on leaves in veg should end those passes once flowers start forming. Because the nitrogen and potash are so light, it is a supplement and not a feed. Watch the copper and zinc if you already use a separate micronutrient product. Vegetable gardeners use it on tomatoes, peppers and greens as well as on houseplants. A gallon jug makes more sense once more than a couple of beds are on the schedule. Store it capped, out of sun and away from freezing temperatures.
