Eight doses in a bag makes a veg programme countable before the first plant goes in. This case of Geoflora VEG 4 lb bags holds ten of them, forty pounds of the 5-3-4 granule.

What a Case of Geoflora VEG 4 lb Bags Carries

Ten sealed bags make up the case, which is 40 lb in total. Each bag holds sixty-four ounces, so eight doses at the eight-ounce rate. Across the case that is eighty doses. The granule is the vegetative 5-3-4. Total nitrogen is 5 percent, split as 1 percent water soluble and 4 percent water insoluble. Available phosphate is 3 percent and soluble potash 4 percent. Calcium is 3 percent, magnesium 0.5 percent and sulfur 1 percent. Three non-plant-food ingredients are declared alongside them. Humic acids are 0.6 percent, yucca schidigera extract 0.4 percent as a wetting agent, and molasses 1.0 percent as microbe food. Fifteen materials are named on the derived-from panel. Alfalfa meal, bat guano, blood meal, bone meal and composted turkey litter open the list. Crustacean meal, feather meal, fish bone meal, fish protein hydrolysate and kelp meal come next. Magnesium sulfate, volcanic ash, neem seed meal, potassium sulfate and rock phosphate close it. A selected blend of beneficial bacteria is carried with the granules. The formulation is CDFA OIM and OMRI Listed for organic use.

Working It In as a Living Soil Amendment

A living soil amendment asks something of the medium it goes into. Only a fifth of the nitrogen here dissolves, and the rest waits for microbes to open the meals up. That is why the bacteria blend travels with the granules, and why soil or a peat and coir mix is where it works. Aquaponics and inert slabs have no biology to do that job. The feed chart puts the vegetative applications in weeks zero, two and four. Week zero is the amendment at transplant, worked into the medium rather than laid on the surface. Weeks two and four are top dressings, watered in thoroughly afterwards. The rate is eight ounces per cubic foot of growing media, roughly equal to a single ten gallon pot. Three doses therefore carry a plant from transplant through to the start of flower. One four pound bag is eight doses, so it covers between two and three plants across the whole vegetative stage. A case of ten reaches somewhere near twenty-six plants on the same arithmetic. The small bag is what makes that countable. A bag gets opened, used and finished instead of standing half full through a season. That matters with meals and composted litter, which take up water from room air. Store what is left cool, dry and out of direct sunlight, and re-amend between cycles rather than reaching for it mid-crop.
