Dense cloth blocks light in both directions and keeps zipper seams from tearing after a season of use. The inner face is a diamond pattern rather than a flat mirror. Diamond walls scatter stray photons back across the canopy instead of stacking them into a hot spot. An infrared blocking layer in the roof holds the outside surface closer to room temperature. Micro-mesh pre-filters sit over the passive intakes and stop thrips and fungus gnats at the wall. The floor is a sealed flood pool, not a loose liner, so a tipped reservoir stays inside.
