What the Gro1 Extraction Bag Kit Includes

This set holds eight bags sized for 10 gallon buckets and extraction washers. Each bag carries a different mesh rating: 220, 190, 160, 120, 90, 73, 45 and 25 micron. The bags are colour coded and labelled by micron, so the stack goes together in the right sequence every time. The coarse 220 bag works as the wash bag and holds back leaf and plant matter. Each finer screen below it catches a smaller band of resin heads. That spread lets the operator keep the cleanest grades apart from the rest. The fabric is reusable, and the set ships at about 3 lb. Gro1 developed the screen series through extended professional testing. The kit carries a one-year warranty against manufacturer defects. With eight grades on hand, there is room to fine-tune results from strain to strain.

Running 10 Gallon Extraction Bags in an Ice Water Wash

Ten gallon extraction bags suit a mid-size washer or a pair of buckets on a home bench. Nest the bags in the bucket from the finest at the bottom to the 220 wash bag on top. Load frozen material into the wash bag with ice and cold water. Stir or run the washer gently, since rough agitation pulls in more plant matter. Drain the water through the stack, then lift each bag out in turn from coarse to fine. Scrape the resin from each screen onto parchment and press out the excess water. Break it up and dry it in a cool, dark, well-ventilated space. Keep everything as cold as possible, because warm water makes resin sticky and harder to separate. Rinse each bag in cold water straight after use. A little isopropyl alcohol clears stubborn resin before the final rinse. Let the bags air dry completely before storing them flat.
