Reading the Spectrum Numbers on a 1000W CMH Bulb

Two figures describe any 1000w cmh bulb and they measure different things. PAR at 2,050 umol/s is the photon count, which is what a plant actually spends. Colour rendering is a separate matter, and this lamp is rated CRI 98. A high CRI means the light carries a broad, even spread of visible wavelengths. The room looks natural, and you can spot a deficiency or a pest by eye. It is not a yield figure. At 3100K the output is weighted warm, which suits bloom, and growers do run it through veg as well.
