Placing Under Canopy LED Grow Lights for Even Flower
Under canopy led grow lights fix a common problem: dense plants shade their own middle and lower bud sites. Those sites stay airy because top lights cannot reach them. Run the bars horizontally between rows, or stand them vertically along the sides of the plants. Retail guidance puts them about 12 to 18 inches from the middle canopy zone. Bring them on dimmed after the stretch, then raise output over a week while you watch the lower leaves. Strip the lowest growth first, because lighting leaves you plan to remove wastes power. Extra light down low also warms that zone slightly. That helps even out VPD from the top of the plant to the bottom. Pick red enhanced when the top lights are already full spectrum and you want the strongest flowering push per watt. Pick full phase when you want the same white light top to bottom, which also makes inspecting lower buds easier. Short plants in a small tent gain little from either version.
