What the GrowLab 120 Was Built Around
The GL120 measures 3ft 11in square, and that figure was chosen deliberately. It takes a 3ft growing table with a margin on every side. That is enough to reach a drain fitting or a reservoir line without moving anything. Interior height is 6ft 7in. Roof cross-members carry 100 lb and slide along their rails, so a fixture can be centred over a table that is not itself centred. The frame is powder coated steel, thicker than the previous generation, and it resists the rust that comes with a humid room. Inside is silver Mylar, with the tent material returning 97 percent of radiant heat. Underneath sits a removable waterproof second floor, which comes out and gets hosed off between crops rather than being scrubbed in place. The boxed weight is 29 lb, so one person can carry and build it.
Lighting and Airflow in a 4x4 Grow Tent
This size is where a single fixture does the whole job and nothing is wasted. One full-size LED panel covers the footprint evenly at the hang height this ceiling allows. The movable cross-members let you set the spread rather than accept where a bar happens to sit. Airflow is the part people underestimate at this scale. The ports take standard duct diameters through adjustable attachments, so there is no fighting with reducers. Where this size stops working is plant training. Four plants trained wide will fill it and six will not, however the pots are arranged. That decision has to happen before the tent is even up.
