Substrate, Climate, and Light Inputs Into One Multi-Sensor Monitoring Hub
Mix sensor types per project as needed. TerraLINK substrate probes on M8 ports 1–3 read root-zone VWC, EC, and temperature. ClimaLINK climate sensors on 4–5 cover temp, RH, and VPD. A PAR sensor on 6 captures canopy light intensity. Place the hub close enough to the canopy that sensor cables aren't strained — auto-addressing handles port assignment regardless of plug position. SDI-12-compatible third-party sensors land on the same M8 ports, which keeps existing greenhouse instrumentation usable instead of forcing a full sensor swap. Registering as a single device in Growlink OS, the multi-sensor monitoring hub frees up regular HUB ports for actuators like valveLINK and quadLINK. The trade-off is that the hub doesn't switch loads itself. Every output decision still routes through Growlink OS or Copilot rules on the broader platform.
