What the Growlink canopyLINK Consolidates in a Room

Sensor sprawl is the quiet cost of instrumenting a grow. Every probe wants a channel and every channel wants a port. A controller runs out of inputs long before a room runs out of things worth measuring. This node answers that by taking eight sensors onto a single device. Each one lands on its own M8 port, and addressing happens automatically, so swapping or adding a probe never means configuring a channel by hand. Power is 24VDC at 5W from the included supply, which is a small enough load to run alongside everything else on a bench. Operating range covers 50 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit and up to 75 percent relative humidity, non-condensing. The housing is water resistant, which suits a greenhouse or an indoor room without adding a separate enclosure. Connection to a Growlink HUB runs over the supplied ten-foot RJ-45 cable, or the unit joins over Wi-Fi for a hub-free install.

Mixing Probes on a Substrate Sensor Hub

Sensor types mix freely across the eight ports. TerraLINK probes read root-zone water content, EC and temperature straight out of the slab or pot. ClimaLINK sensors cover air temperature, humidity and vapour pressure deficit. A PAR sensor on another port captures canopy light intensity for the same node. Third-party instruments speaking SDI-12 land on those same M8 ports, which keeps existing greenhouse hardware in service rather than forcing a wholesale swap. Mount the node close enough to the canopy that no cable ends up under tension. Because addressing is automatic, plug position does not matter and neither does the sequence of installation. Inside Growlink OS the whole assembly registers as one device, which frees regular HUB ports for actuators such as valveLINK and quadLINK. One limit is worth stating plainly. This node reads, it does not switch. Every output decision still runs through Growlink OS or Copilot rules on the wider platform.
