Growonix Green Coconut Carbon Filter for Chlorine and VOCs

The green block coconut carbon filter is a 2.5 x 20 in tall cartridge of high-purity coconut shell activated carbon. It reduces chlorine, taste, odor, and certain VOCs, and it holds dirt well at low pressure drop. Free chlorine breaks down RO membranes over time, so this carbon stage protects the membrane downstream. It is NSF Standard 42 listed at a 10-micron rating. Capacity reaches 17,000 gallons of chlorine reduction, or about 6,000 gallons of RO water at a 2:1 ratio.

Eco Green Carbon for Tall RO Systems

The green block is made with a lower-carbon-footprint process, and it keeps performance high. Standard coconut carbon handles chlorine and VOCs, not chloramine. For chloramine on city water, or iron and hydrogen sulfide on well water, step up to the KDF85 carbon filter. This cartridge fits the Growonix EX400-T, EX800-T, and Slim Scrub. Swap it at capacity, or sooner if a chlorine taste returns.
