Tall Pre-Filters, KDF85 Carbon, and Hands-Off Shutoff
Tall pre-filters carry twice the media of a standard EX1000. That gives you 34,000 gallons of chlorine or chloramine capacity, or 17,000 gallons of RO water at 1:1. The KDF85 catalytic carbon handles chloramine on city water, plus iron, hydrogen sulfide, and heavy metals on well water. An electric shutoff kit pairs a float switch with a feed-water solenoid that cuts supply when the system is idle. SCH80 input plumbing carries the feed. Higher TDS or colder water will lower production.
