This GrowoniX premium KDF85 catalytic carbon filter is the full-size 4.5" x 20" cartridge, pairing KDF85 media with highly reactive catalytic carbon for maximum chloramine and metal removal. It reduces chloramine, chlorine, iron, hydrogen sulfide, heavy metals, and scale, and the KDF85 media is bacteriostatic and extends carbon life. The big body carries roughly 34,000 gallons of chlorine or chloramine removal, or about 17,000 gallons of RO water at a 1:1 ratio. It is NSF-certified for drinking water.
Long-Run Chloramine Removal for Tall and XL Systems
This 20-inch cartridge fits the tall builds: EX600-T, EX1000-T, EX4000-T, CX4000, the XL-Scrubber, and the Sedi Scrub. The KDF media reduces about 99% of free chlorine, 90% of iron, and 98% of soluble lead and mercury. Flush it at install to clear carbon fines, then plan a change every 6 to 12 months. On a big system, tracking gallons treated beats guessing at the calendar.
