GrowoniX UV-2 Quartz Sleeve (2 GPM)
This GrowoniX UV-2 quartz sleeve is the clear high-purity quartz tube that houses the UV-C lamp in the 2 GPM sterilizer. It keeps the lamp dry while passing 254 nm UV-C through to the water. Sized for the UV-2 chamber, it is the barrier between the lamp and the flow. A hazy or scaled sleeve blocks UV, so keep a spare on the shelf.
Keeping the 2 GPM UV Sterilizer at Full Output
Wipe the sleeve every few months and replace it when scale or clouding will not clean off. Handle it with soft gloves, since skin oils bake on and cut UV transmission. Seat the O-ring so the chamber seals dry around the sleeve. A clean sleeve plus a yearly lamp change holds the 99.9% kill.
