GrowoniX UV-1 1 GPM UV Water Sterilizer
The GrowoniX UV-1 is a 1 GPM inline UV water sterilizer that destroys 99.9% of micro-organisms in your feed or reservoir water. Its UV-C lamp emits at 254 nm, the wavelength that scrambles microbial DNA so bacteria, viruses, and protozoa cannot reproduce. The stainless steel chamber runs on 120 VAC and takes 1/4" quick-connect fittings for a fast tie-in. A 10-17W ballast drives the lamp, rated for about 8,000 hours.
Where the 1/4 Inch Inline UV Sterilizer Fits
Install the UV-1 after your RO or sediment stage, since UV-C only works on water that is already clear. It suits small RO setups and single-reservoir rooms up to 1 GPM. Remember that UV kills beneficial microbes too, so dose any bennies back in downstream of the sterilizer. Swap the lamp yearly and wipe the quartz sleeve every few months to keep output high. The kit ships with the chamber, lamp, quartz sleeve, ballast, and fittings.
