This GrowoniX coconut carbon filter is a 2.5" x 20" cartridge of high-purity coconut-shell activated carbon that pulls chlorine, taste, odor, and many VOCs from feed water. It is the value option for the tall housings, a straight chlorine filter without the KDF85 chloramine media. Low pressure drop keeps flow steady and it holds dirt well for a carbon stage. It is rated for roughly 9,000 gallons of chlorine capacity at up to 2 GPM.
Value Chlorine Removal for EX400T, EX800T, and SlimScrub
This 20-inch cartridge fits the tall EX400-T, EX800-T, and the SlimScrub. Coconut carbon handles chlorine well but does not remove chloramine, so match it to a chlorine-treated municipal supply. If your district runs chloramine, choose the KDF85/catalytic version instead. Change it every 6 to 12 months, sooner if chlorine taste returns.
