Gorilla GXi 6 Inline Fan for Tents and Small Rooms
The GXi 6 is a 6-inch inline duct fan with a wireless controller built into the fan itself. It ventilates mid-size grow tents and small grow rooms, pulling out heat, humidity and stale air. Maximum airflow is 402 CFM. The EC motor draws 60 W, or 0.50 A at 120V. PWM control steps the speed finely across its range. Rated noise is 32 dB-A. All control runs through the Gorilla Grow Tent App, with nothing to mount on the wall. Built-in day and night profiles shift the airflow when the lights switch on and off. The GXi Temperature and Humidity Sensor, sold separately, lets the fan respond to temperature, humidity and VPD targets. With the sensor, the app also sends alerts and keeps a history of readings. Its motor housing and blades detach for cleaning without tools. The fan accepts 120-240VAC input. Its housing is 12.4 x 8.9 x 8.3 in, with a 5 ft power cord. The fan holds FCC certification.
Installing a 6 Inch Smart Inline Fan
Hang the fan high in the tent or room, close to where hot air gathers. Use straps fixed to the frame or ceiling so the duct joints are not holding it up. Direct the airflow outward so the fan exhausts the space. For odor control, mount a carbon filter on the intake side of the fan. Fit ducting over each collar, then clamp and tape every joint. Give the space a lower intake, either passive or fan-driven, so fresh air can enter. Power the fan, then pair it in the Gorilla Grow Tent App by scanning and connecting. Set a daytime speed for the lights-on heat load and a lower night speed. Slight inward pull on the tent walls shows the exhaust is outrunning the intake, which keeps odor inside. With the sensor added, set temperature and humidity targets for seedling, veg and flower. The app then adjusts the fan to hold each target through the day. Remove the blades and clear dust from them as it accumulates.
