Why the GroLine Hydroponic Tester Outlasts a Sealed Pen
The electrode comes out. On most pocket pH meters the probe is sealed in, so when it dies the meter goes in the bin with it. Here the HI73127 electrode unscrews using the HI73128 tool that comes in the box. That one detail changes what the meter costs you across five seasons rather than one.
What the HI98131 Reads, and How Accurately
Four values at once, on one screen. pH covers 0.00 to 14.00 at 0.01 resolution, accurate to ±0.10 pH. Calibration is automatic at one or two points on 4.01, 7.01 and 10.01 buffers, or one point in Quick Cal solution. Conductivity runs 0.00 to 6.00 mS/cm to ±2% of full scale. TDS reads 0 to 3000 ppm on a 0.5 factor, or 3999 ppm on 0.7. Temperature spans 0 to 60 C, 32 to 140 F. The case is waterproof at 163 x 40 x 26 mm and 95 g. Four 1.5V cells give about 100 hours, with auto-off at 8 or 60 minutes or switched off. Warranty is a year on the meter and six months on the electrode.
