HGV Base Formula From Veg Through Flush
HGV Nutrients Base Formula 14.5-0-0 is a dry ready-to-mix water-soluble blend. It pairs with the HGV Growth Formula during veg and the HGV Flowering Formula during bloom. The jug ships dry. You fill it to the green Fill Line, shake vigorously for 30 seconds, wait a minute, then shake again. Top off with two cups of warm water, shake once more, and the powder dissolves into a stable liquid concentrate. Dose at 15 mL of Base per gallon — half the rate of the 30 mL/gal Growth or Flowering pour. pH to 5.6–5.8 for hydro or coco, 6.0–6.2 for soil. The 0.6:1 Base-to-Growth (or Base-to-Flowering) volume ratio holds steady from transplant through the last week of flower.
Calcium Nitrate Base Nutrient for Hydro, Coco, and Soil
The three-part dry nutrient system is intentionally lean — Base, Growth, and Flowering, no additives or supplements layered on top. Base supplies the nitrate nitrogen and calcium that the Growth and Flowering parts intentionally leave out. The calcium nitrate base nutrient effectively sets the EC floor for every feeding. Always add the Growth or Flowering concentrate to the water first, then the Base — the two concentrates can't be combined undiluted without precipitating out. The 1-gallon jug runs 252 gallons of finished feed. That's twice what a 1-gal Growth or Flowering jug yields because Base feeds at half the rate. One Base jug pairs with two Growth, two Flowering, or one of each.
