HGV Level is a 3% potassium silicate solution that delivers silicon to plants in a form they can take up directly through the roots. Silicon deposits into cell walls and the silica-cellulose matrix that backs them. Over a few weeks of consistent dosing, you see thicker stems and growth that holds up better when the room runs hot or dry. The same potassium silicate chemistry that drives those results also pushes pH up. That side effect can replace some of your pH-up dosing when the rest of the feed runs acidic.
Potassium Silicate Plant Supplement: Mix Sequence Matters
As a potassium silicate plant supplement, Level has one absolute mixing rule. It goes into the reservoir first, before any base nutrient, cal-mag, or pH adjustment. Silica concentrate is strongly alkaline. Once it meets calcium or phosphate without enough water between, it precipitates into a milky solid that clogs drippers. Add Level to the mixing tank and let the pump circulate for ten to fifteen minutes — longer in larger tanks. Then add the rest of the program in normal sequence. The 55-gallon drum is built for commercial fertigation rooms running multiple zones. Smaller-batch operations mixing 200+ gallons at a time will still draw it down at a predictable rate across the cycle.
