Clonex Mist 750ml: The Working-Size Bottle for Regular Cloning

Clonex Mist in the 750 ml trigger bottle is the working size for growers who clone every cycle. It is the same ready-to-use formula as the smaller bottles, a hormone-free blend of amino acids and mineral nutrients. Growth Technology makes it, and HydroDynamics carries it in the US. Nothing needs mixing or measuring first. The label analysis is intentionally faint, 0.00059% nitrate nitrogen with traces of phosphate and potash from calcium nitrate and dipotassium phosphate. That is enough to support leaves on a stem that has no roots yet, without loading the cube with salts. HydroDynamics recommends a foliar feed on the mother plants two to three days before taking cuttings. Mothers treated that way go into the cut already primed, and the same bottle then covers the trays afterward. One bottle this size handles several full trays, carrying seven and a half times the volume of the 100 ml.

Getting the Most From a Cloning Spray in the Tray

As a cloning spray it goes on lightly as soon as the tray or cloner is full. Repeat every two days for two or three applications, then stop once the clones move to their next container. Keep the mist fine and the leaves just damp, since a dripping plug or cube starves new roots of air. Pair it with a rooting gel at the cut, because the mist carries no hormone of its own. Shake the bottle before each session and store it in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Claims that a cloning spray raises final yield are a stretch for something used in the first two weeks of a plant's life. Its real job is healthier cuttings in better rooting conditions. Commercial propagation rooms spraying hundreds of cuttings a week will find the quart or gallon concentrate more practical. That version mixes one part to three parts water.
