Getting a Reach-Through Mesh Tight Enough to Work
A net that gives needs tie points, and that is the trade you accept for the softer string. Put one every 12 to 18 in along the frame, then press the middle of a span with your hand. If it dips, add another. The 6 in square is wide enough to put a hand and fruit back through at harvest. The net comes off in one piece rather than being cut away. Width is 5 ft against a 4 ft bench. That leaves roughly 6 in a side to wrap the edge and tie outside the growing area. Hydrofarm publishes no load rating for any roll in this range, so do not go by the net. Go by the tie points.
