What Hygrozyme Horticultural Formula Breaks Down

Dead root, mostly. Roots die back through every cycle, and what they leave behind feeds the pathogens you do not want. This is a concentrated enzyme blend that digests that material into sugars the root zone can use. There are no live microbes in the bottle. It is enzymes only, which is what lets it sit on a shelf without dying.

Hygrozyme Feed Chart, Rate by Application

Four rates cover the whole cycle. Seedling trays and cutting media are treated before use at 6 mL per 4 litres, soaking the plug or cube to moisture. Running media, whether hydro, soil, coco or rockwool, takes 8 to 10 mL per 4 litres at each nutrient change, and never above 15. Foliar equipment is washed at 4 to 6 mL per 4 litres, using RO or distilled water. Activity is published rather than implied: cellulase at 1,000 U/mL, xylanase at 100, hemicellulase at 75 and beta-glucanase at 40. Product pH sits at 4 to 4.5, which is the natural pH of the enzyme source. Store it out of sunlight between 40 and 90 F. The facility is certified to ISO 9001:2015.

Key Features

  • Cellulase at 1,000 U/mL: Plus xylanase at 100, hemicellulase at 75 and beta-glucanase at 40.
  • Enzymes, not live microbes: Nothing in it dies on the shelf, and it runs alongside a microbe program.
  • 6 mL per 4 L to prep media: Soak plugs, cubes and seedling trays before anything goes into them.
  • 8 to 10 mL per 4 L in use: At each nutrient change. Never take it above 15 mL per 4 litres.
  • Works in any medium: Hydro, soil, coco and rockwool, at every growth stage.
  • pH 4 to 4.5, store 40 to 90 F: The natural pH of the enzyme source. Keep it out of direct sunlight.

Seems to be doing what

"Seems to be doing what I had hoped. Although, when I bought this product, I just had a fungal disease take out one of my outdoor girls. So I ordered several different cannabis enzymes to clean the root system and break down and smothered, Dead roots. I received 2 bottles of competitive brands before I received this hygrozyme brand, so? I can't give an honest review because the enzymes I have applied this far have been doing a phenomenal job. I've reached out to the company asking for samples of their beneficial microbes, but as you could imagine they aren't very communicable. So far, I didn't see the need to give my hard earned money to a business that doesn't take the time to respond to customers."
