Tyvek desiccant strips carrying 1000 g each, six to a case, that hang at height and pull moisture out of the air. Absorb-only chemistry takes on up to 158% of its weight and stops working at 50% RH, so a room cannot be over-dried.

Integra Cargo Dry Hanging Desiccant Pulls 1000g Worth of Moisture

Each strip carries 1000 g of calcium chloride desiccant in three heat-sealed Tyvek bags, hung from a plastic hook on a perforated header. Calcium chloride is the material choice, and it is deliberately one-way. It takes water out of the air and holds it, up to 158% of its own weight, and it never gives that water back. That is the opposite of a two-way humidity pack, which releases moisture as well as absorbing it. A room still shedding moisture from fresh-cut material needs the one-way version. Tyvek is what lets vapor through while keeping the brine inside as the desiccant deliquesces. The strip form hangs at height, where the humid air actually sits.

A Drying Room Moisture Absorber Rated at 200 Cubic Feet a Strip

One strip covers up to 200 cubic feet, so a case of six treats about 1,200 cubic feet, or a 20-foot container. Absorption stops at 50% RH. That floor is why strips get hung and left alone rather than checked hourly against a hygrometer. Service life runs to 90 days in light duty, though an active dry with wet biomass works through them faster. Hanging costs nothing in floor space, which is the whole economic argument at this size. Each strip carries less total desiccant than a pail holds, so a very wet room may want both. And a case is the only way this is sold, because one strip rarely covers a real room on its own. For curing and drying rooms that is the sizing you work from.

Key Features

  • 1000 g of Desiccant Per Strip: Six strips per case put 6,000 g of absorbent capacity into a room.
  • Absorb-Only Chemistry: Takes moisture out and holds it, so it cannot feed humidity back mid-dry.
  • 158% Absorption Capacity: Each strip takes on well over its own weight in water before it stops.
  • 50% RH Absorption Floor: Goes quiet below 50% RH, so an unattended room cannot be pulled down too far.
  • 200 Cubic Feet Per Strip: A published coverage figure to size a room against instead of guessing.
  • Three Heat-Sealed Tyvek Bags: Strip construction spreads the draw along its length rather than from one point.
  • Plastic Hook and Header: Hangs off a wire, a rail or a trellis line with no extra hardware to source.
  • Zero Floor Space Used: Nothing to walk around in a packed room, and fan placement stays where you set it.
  • Up To 90 Days of Protection: Long enough to cover a full dry and hold a room between runs in light duty, per Integra.
  • Non-Toxic, No Hazardous Materials: Spent strips go out with ordinary waste, with no reclaim procedure to run.

Is This a Two-Way Humidity Pack?

No. It is absorb-only. It removes moisture from a room and never releases it, which is the opposite job from a Boost pack inside a sealed jar.

How Many Strips Does a Room Need?

One strip covers up to 200 cubic feet. Measure the room volume, divide by 200, and hang that many rather than clustering them in one corner.

Can It Over-Dry a Room?

No. Absorption stops at 50% RH. That floor is why these get hung and left over a long weekend without someone watching a hygrometer.

Hanging Strips or the Bucket Format?

Hang when the room is full and you need draw at height. Use the bucket when total capacity matters more than placement and floor space is free.
