GrowoniX KDF85 Catalytic Carbon Filter (4.5 x 10)
This GrowoniX KDF85 catalytic carbon filter is a big-body 4.5" x 9.75" cartridge combining KDF85 media and highly reactive catalytic carbon to strip chloramine, chlorine, iron, hydrogen sulfide, heavy metals, and scale. Catalytic carbon breaks chloramine down, where standard carbon only handles free chlorine, and the KDF85 media is bacteriostatic and extends carbon life. It is rated for roughly 17,000 gallons of chlorine or chloramine removal at a 10-micron rating. The wide body handles the higher flow of the 600 and 1000 systems.
Chloramine and Metal Removal for EX/GX 600 and 1000
This cartridge fits the EX600, EX1000, GX600, GX1000, and both the Lil Boss and Lil Boss Deluxe scrubbers. The KDF media reduces about 99% of free chlorine, 90% of iron, and 98% of soluble lead and mercury. Flush it before the first run to clear the fine carbon particles KDF sheds when new. Change it every 6 to 12 months, sooner on chloraminated municipal or hard well water.
