This Kessil spinner is a rotating mount that carries up to six Kessil LED grow lights over a 4 x 4 ft area. It hangs above the canopy and turns continuously, sweeping each light in a circle over the plants. That motion spreads intensity evenly, so no single spot sits under a light all day. Leaves near the edges of the area see more light than they would under a fixed pendant. The spinner holds up to about 21 lb in total. Each arm takes one light, so the layout is set by which lamps you mount and where. Kessil's guidance allows up to two H380 lights, alone or alongside up to four H150 lights. The two H380s belong on opposite arms so the weight stays balanced. More than two H380s falls outside the recommended setup and can void the warranty. Lights are not included, which leaves the spectrum choice open. Mixing lamps with different spectra or intensities builds a custom light recipe from one hang point. A single hang point also keeps the setup tidy in a small tent or cabinet.

Running a Rotating Light Mover Over a Small Canopy

Hang the spinner from a sturdy point, since the load turns all day and a loose hook wanders. Center it over the canopy so each light traces a circle that covers the whole area. Set the hang height so the lights overlap slightly at the edges of their circles. Check plant tops after the first few days, since the brightest band sits under the path of the lamps. Raise the spinner as plants stretch, rather than letting tops close in on a passing light. Route cords so they follow the arms cleanly as the spinner turns. Pair a cooler spectrum with a warmer one to cover both vegetative and flowering needs from one mount. With the lamps moving, a smaller set of lights can reach ground that fixed pendants would miss.
