Lotus Pro Series Grow: An 8-4-13 Powder Built for Veg
This is a one-bag vegetative nutrient, sold as a water-soluble powder that goes into soil, coco and hydro alike. The guaranteed analysis on the bag is 8-4-13. Nitrogen comes from calcium ammonium nitrate, magnesium nitrate and mono ammonium phosphate, while potassium sulfate and monopotassium phosphate carry the potassium and phosphate. Iron, manganese, zinc and copper are all EDTA-chelated, with boric acid, cobalt sulfate and ammonium molybdate filling in the trace pack. Soy protein hydrolysate adds amino acids, and kelp extract rounds it out. On the Lotus soil schedule, seedlings and fresh clones start at 0.75 teaspoon, or 3.6 grams, per gallon for two weeks. Veg weeks one and two run 1.5 teaspoons, week three 1.75, and week four peaks at 2 teaspoons or 9.5 grams. Lotus trims the whole chart by up to 30% for low light or no CO2, and allows up to 20% more in high-intensity rooms. A 16 oz bag mixes roughly 47 to 60 gallons at full veg strength. The 32 oz doubles that, and the 64 oz lands between 190 and 241 gallons.
How Lotus Nutrients Expects the Powder to Be Mixed
Lotus Nutrients built the Pro Series around the idea that a powder should behave like a one-part liquid at the mixing bench. In practice that means one scoop into plain water, stir until clear, then adjust pH. Weigh it rather than scooping by volume when you can. The powder can look damp, a texture Lotus compares to kinetic sand, so a packed teaspoon and a loose one are not the same dose. The formula is buffered toward a pH near six, which keeps small reservoirs from swinging as hard between checks. Late in veg the schedule brings in the separate Cal/Mag powder, and that matters most with RO water or LED rooms. Carry the grow feed into the first week of flower at a reduced rate, then hand off to the bloom powder. Powder costs less to ship and store than liquid concentrate, but it asks for a little more care when you mix. A sealed bag in a cool, dry spot keeps it free-flowing between runs.
Key Features
- 8-4-13 Veg Ratio: Nitrogen and potassium lead for stems, leaves and root mass.
- Chelated Micronutrients: Iron, manganese, zinc and copper in EDTA form stay available as reservoir pH moves.
- Amino Acids and Kelp: Soy protein hydrolysate and seaweed extract are blended right into the powder.
- pH-Buffered Formula: Built to settle near a pH of six once dissolved in the reservoir.
- One Powder, Three Media: The same bag feeds soil, coco and hydro, with a published schedule for each.
