A lighting relay controller for up to eight HID ballasts
The Master 8 switches up to eight 1000W HID ballasts, 8000W across eight universal outlets. That brings a full bank of lights on and off together. It runs on 120V or 240V and carries up to 50 amps through relays rated for at least 100,000 operations at full load. Because it is a relay controller, it handles the switching while a separate timer sets the schedule. Growers connect the included 120V trigger cable to a standard timing device to run the whole bank on one cycle.
Wiring and safety on the Master 8
The universal outlets accept common ballast plugs, and the 50-amp relay leaves headroom for a full eight-lamp bank. It holds up from 32 to 110 degrees F and 0 to 99% non-condensing humidity, and carries a 3-year limited warranty. Because it switches high-amperage mains power, LTL strongly recommends a certified electrician for install if you are not familiar with electrical wiring. One note: this is a relay switch, not a dimmer, so it runs lights full-on or off rather than at reduced output.
