This one is the 1 in body with a 140 mesh stack, screening to roughly 115 micron.
Fitting an Inline Disc Filter the Right Way Round
One detail causes more problems than anything else on this part. There is a flow directional arrow moulded into the body. An inline disc filter fitted backwards will pass water without filtering it properly. The rings need pressure from the correct side to compress into a sealed column. Check the arrow before tightening. Beyond that, mounting is flexible: it runs vertically or horizontally, with male pipe thread on inlet and outlet so it lands in standard fittings. Body and cover are reinforced polyamide, which holds up to sunlight, fertiliser and freeze-thaw far better than a general purpose plastic. It suits residential lines and is built well enough for commercial and municipal duty. Cleaning is manual and takes a couple of minutes. Open the housing, lift the ring stack out, then rinse it under a tap or hose until the grooves run clear. Reassemble and check the arrow again.
