Netafim Series 80 24VDC Valve for Battery and DC Controllers
The Netafim Series 80 24VDC valve opens and closes a 3/4 in zone on a DC pulse. It runs from battery and solar controllers that cannot drive an AC coil. Its latching solenoid holds position without constant power, saving battery between shots. The valve passes 0.1-26 GPM and handles 7-150 psi in a glass-reinforced nylon body. A flow-control stem lets you throttle or shut the zone by hand.
Wiring a 3/4 in DC Latching Solenoid Valve
Growers pick the DC version for remote rows, hoop houses, or anywhere pulling AC to the valve is a hassle. The controller sends a short pulse to latch it open, then another to close, drawing power only at the switch. It threads onto standard 3/4 in FPT fittings and drops into an existing manifold. As a normally closed valve, the zone stays off until the controller latches it.
Key Features
- 24VDC latching solenoid: Runs from battery, solar, and DC irrigation controllers.
- Latching design: Holds open or closed on a pulse, sipping power between shots.
- 0.1-26 GPM flow range: Low-flow drip up to higher-volume sprinkler zones.
- 7-150 psi operating range: Wide window for pump or municipal supply.
- Flow-control stem: Throttle or manually shut the zone without power.
