Hand watering a nursery block one pot at a time stops making sense once the plant count climbs into the thousands. Netafim's Multi Outlet Dripper (MOD) system replaces it by feeding four pots from a single dripper on the lateral. This assembly, item 40201-003200 and model 014DM-1830F, carries a flat 4-way manifold with four tubes. Two run 18 in and two run 30 in, so one dripper reaches a near pair of pots and a far pair. That split suits a double row along the lateral, or containers set on a staggered grid. Each tube ends in a standard angle arrow dripper, about 6-3/8 in long and meant for larger pots. The tubing is Netafim Super Flex UV White PE, solid white rather than coated, and fully opaque to stop algae. Its white wall also keeps the water inside cooler than dark tubing in full sun. Each pack contains 25 assemblies, which waters 100 containers. The pressure compensating dripper that feeds the manifold is ordered separately.

Placing an Angle Arrow Dripper in Every Pot

Netafim usually pairs this flat 4-way manifold with a 2.0 GPH Woodpecker PC Junior dripper. Flow divides evenly across the four outlets, so each pot receives about 0.50 GPH. That dripper compensates from 10 to 45 psi and has a built-in check valve that keeps the lines from draining onto the lowest pots. Push each angle arrow dripper into the media near the stem, angled so water soaks the root zone rather than running down the pot wall. Water goes straight into the container, so foliage and flowers stay dry and foliar sprays are not rinsed off each cycle. Use the same assembly across a whole zone so every plant gets an equal share of water. At 0.50 GPH per pot, 200 plants draw about 2 GPM and 1,000 plants about 8 GPM. Netafim suggests a 35 psi low-flow pressure regulator for zones of 400 pots or fewer. The flat manifold sits low and resists damage from foot traffic and carts. At the end of a crop the manifold separates, and the tubes roll up without tangling.
