This Netafim assembly feeds four small pots from one dripper, each through an 18 in white tube and a short angle arrow dripper. The 3-3/4 in arrow suits 4 to 5 in pots, and a pack of 25 waters 100 of them.

Netafim Short Angle Arrow Dripper Assembly With 18 in Tubes

Small liners and 4 in pots fill benches by the thousand, and a long stake can bottom out in pots that size. This Netafim flat MOD, item 40201-002600 and model 014DM-1818FS, is built around a shorter stake. Each of its four tubes ends in an angled arrow stake about 3-3/4 in long. Netafim sizes that arrow for 4 to 5 in pots, where it seats firmly without driving through the base. All four tubes are 18 in, which keeps the pots in a tight cluster around the supply line. That short reach suits close bench spacing, where pots sit nearly shoulder to shoulder. The flat manifold splits one dripper's flow four ways through Super Flex UV White PE tubing. That tubing is solid white rather than coated, fully opaque to stop algae, and keeps water cooler in the sun. One pack holds 25 assemblies for 100 pots. The feed dripper is a separate item.

Setting Up a 4 Way MOD Assembly on a Propagation Bench

Netafim completes each 4 way MOD assembly with one Woodpecker PC Junior dripper on the lateral, normally the 2.0 GPH model. With four outlets, each pot then receives about 0.50 GPH. The dripper compensates from 10 to 45 psi, so pots at the end of a long bench get the same volume. A built-in check valve holds water in the line when the cycle stops, rather than letting it drain onto the lowest pots. Seat the short arrow beside the plug or liner, angled toward the root ball. Water lands only in the pot, keeping foliage dry and leaving any foliar spray in place. Run the same assembly across the whole zone so each pot gets an equal share. A 400-pot zone draws about 3 GPM, small enough that Netafim advises a 35 psi low-flow regulator. Payback on a complete MOD system is usually within the first season, according to Netafim. Between crops the manifold separates and the tubes roll up neatly for storage.
