Mesh alone tells you almost nothing useful, because it counts openings rather than measuring them. Choosing Between Netafim Filters by Flow and Stack

Undersizing throttles the line, and oversizing drops flow below the minimum the discs need to seat. Stack comes second. Across netafim filters the colours stay consistent. Yellow 80 mesh at 200 micron, red 120 at 130, black 140 at 115, and green 200 at 55 on 2 in bodies. Pick against the smallest orifice downstream. Finer than that buys cleaning frequency and pressure loss, not protection. How it filters is the reason to choose a disc at all. Grooved rings compress into a column and water crosses the channels between them. Debris is trapped through the depth of the stack rather than on one surface. Body and cover are reinforced polyamide, rated to 140 psi, and cleaning is a manual strip and rinse.
