Netafim FlexNet 2 in Pipe With Outlets Every 80 in
When beds are laid out on 80 in centers, the header only needs an outlet where each bed begins. This coil, Netafim item 43003-005742 and model 05FX02PIPE50-80, puts one outlet at every 80 in. Each is an integral welded connector cut with a 1/2 in female thread. Start connectors, risers and stands thread into it, and Netafim fittings seal without Teflon or glue. The pipe is 2 in nominal, 2.0 in inside and 2.09 in outside, with a 0.030 in wall. Its maximum recommended working pressure is 36.2 psi. FlexNet is made of 100% recyclable polypropylene, resistant to UV and chemicals. A black stripe runs along the pipe for identification. Empty, the pipe lies flat and can be walked on or driven over, and pressurized it stays straight. Coil length is 328 ft, and the coil weighs about 33 lb with its welded outlets.
Fitting Risers and Laterals at 80 Inch Outlet Spacing
Most outlets take a tee or elbow start connector for 630 or 875 thinwall dripline. For a flexible, kink-resistant link to thinwall dripline, a QFlex riser threads in instead. That riser is polypropylene, UV resistant and rated to 43 psi, and it comes 24 or 48 in long. Thinwall dripline slips over its far end and is held with a wire tie. For overhead coverage, a MegaStand sprinkler stand threads into the same outlet. Its risers stack to raise a MegaNet sprinkler from 16 in to 32 in or 48 in. Header length at this spacing depends on lateral flow. With 5/8 in thinwall laterals at 92% uniformity, level ground and 1 psi friction loss, it reaches 187 ft at 1.46 GPM and 127 ft at 2.50 GPM. Allowing 2 psi of loss, the two figures become 240 ft and 167 ft. Close any outlet left without a fitting using a flat plug before the line is charged.
