Netafim FlexNet Pipe, 3 in With Outlets Every 72 in

Six foot beds put one lateral at every 72 in of header, so the takeoffs on this coil land exactly there. It is Netafim item 43003-006400, model 05FX03PIPE50-72, with an outlet every 72 in. Outlets are integral welded connectors cut with a 1/2 in female thread. Fittings thread in by hand and seal without Teflon or glue. The pipe is 3 in nominal, 3.1 in inside, 3.14 in outside, with a 0.030 in wall. Run it at no more than the 29 psi maximum recommended working pressure. It is made of 100% recyclable polypropylene that stands up to UV and chemicals. Under pressure the line holds its length, and empty it lies flat without tangling. A black stripe along the pipe identifies it in the field. One coil carries 328 ft and weighs about 46 lb with outlets.

Fittings for a Header With 72 Inch Outlet Spacing

Twist-lock tee and elbow connectors thread into the outlets for 630 or 875 thinwall dripline. For 875 thinwall there are also fast-ring tee and elbow versions. Elbow connectors sized for 16 mm and 20 mm dripline fit the same outlet. A short MPT plug closes any outlet that has no lateral. A mini combination air vent can be threaded into an outlet as well. If the pipe is punctured, a patch kit with a punch and 20 plugs and washers seals the hole. Lateral flow sets header length at this spacing. With 5/8 in thinwall at 92% uniformity on level ground, a 1 psi friction limit allows 360 ft of header for 1.46 GPM laterals and 252 ft for 2.50 GPM laterals. A 2 psi limit lengthens those runs to 456 ft and 324 ft. The pipe carries a three-year warranty.
