Netafim Hanging Assembly With a 12 in Drop Tube

Propagation benches need the fogger close to the cuttings, and a short drop keeps the supply line just above the head. This base assembly, Netafim item 63000-004070 and model 0300HSAC-12-B, carries 12 in of tubing. A barb x barb connector at the top inserts into the polyethylene supply line. The tube is Super Flex UV White polyethylene in the 4/7 mm size, soft and easy to route. Near the lower end, a white stabilizer weight holds the head hanging plumb over the bench. At the bottom, a barb x female connector receives the sprinkler, mister or fogger head. Because the head hangs below the pipe, drips from the pipe do not land on the plants. The opaque white tube blocks light, which keeps algae from growing inside. Its reflective surface stands up to heat, direct sun and harsh chemicals while keeping the water cooler. All parts assemble and come apart in the greenhouse without tools. This bag holds 25 assemblies, and the heads are ordered separately.

Setting a 12 Inch Fogger Drop Over a Propagation Bench

For rooting cuttings, the CoolNet Pro fogger is the head of choice, with four grey nozzles and a low pressure check valve. It averages 8.1 GPH and a 65 micron droplet, building a zone of saturated humidity around the cuttings. Hang each fogger 18 to 30 in above the propagation material. Space the assemblies 3 ft apart, with the supply line run over the center of a 3 to 4 ft bench. Benches up to 8 ft wide take two lines, set at equal distances from the center. Set the 4-way crosses at 45 degree angles to one another. Feed a fogger line through a 65 psi regulator and a 140 mesh filter. At 3 ft between foggers and 6.5 ft between lines, a 1 second pulse every 74 seconds is a starting point. Fine-tune pulse and interval to the crop and the house. Flush the mainlines and supply pipes before any head with a check valve goes on.
