A germination house or a long run of propagation benches can need hundreds of drops at once. This carton, Netafim item 63000-004060 and model 0300HSAC-12, packs 200 base assemblies. Every unit carries 12 in of Super Flex UV White polyethylene tubing in the 4/7 mm size. The top barb inserts into a polyethylene supply pipe, and the bottom female connector takes the head. A white stabilizer weight on each tube keeps the head hanging straight down. Hanging the heads below the pipe means drips from the pipe stay off the crop. The white tubing is fully opaque, so algae cannot grow inside it. It is UV resistant, holds up to direct sun and harsh chemicals, and reflects heat to keep the water cooler. Every part fits together by hand in the greenhouse. Each assembly ships as a base, with the head ordered and connected separately at installation.

Misting Seed Trays From a 12 Inch Hanging Tube

For germinating seed, a VibroNet sprinkler with the blue nozzle lays down a light mist. It averages 9.2 GPH and carries its own check valve. Uniformity stays excellent at spacings between 3 and 5 ft, with the head 2 to 5 ft above the trays. The VibroNet can run upright or upside down, and here it hangs inverted from the tube. Feed misters through a 35 psi regulator and a 120 mesh filter. The check valve keeps the line full after shutdown, giving instant on and off for short misting cycles. Before any head goes on, connect every pipe and assembly and open the ends of the distributor and supply lines. Close those openings one at a time, starting nearest the control head and working outward. Attach the heads with check valves only after the system has flushed clean. That step keeps construction debris out of the nozzles.
