Netafim Hanging Sprinkler, Mister or Fogger Assembly, 18 in, 200 Pack (0300HSAC-18)

Netafim Hanging Sprinkler Bases, 18 in, Carton of 200

Watering an entire bay or quonset from overhead takes a long line of identical drops. This carton, Netafim item 63000-004450 and model 0300HSAC-18, holds 200 hanging bases. Each base hangs its head on 18 in of Super Flex UV White 4/7 mm polyethylene tubing. The barbed top inserts into the supply pipe, and a female connector at the bottom receives the head. A white stabilizer weight on every tube keeps the heads plumb down the full length of the bay. Hanging the heads below the pipe keeps the pipe dry and stops it from dripping onto the crop. The opaque white tubing blocks algae growth inside the tube. It resists UV, heat, direct sun and harsh chemicals, and its reflective surface keeps the water cooler. Bases and heads join by hand, so a line can be built or serviced without tools. Heads are chosen and ordered separately to match the job.

One SpinNet Line Over a Bay With 18 Inch Hanging Tubes

A single line of SpinNet sprinklers down the center can water a bay from 10 to 24 ft wide. Hang the heads 3 ft apart, with an average working pressure near 30 psi. For a 12 ft bay with heads 2 to 3 ft above the crop, the red mist control, red body and blue spinner combination fits. A 16 ft bay at 4 to 5 ft above the crop calls for brown, yellow and grey parts. At 6 to 7 ft above the crop, the brown body and green spinner reach bays 20 to 24 ft wide. SpinNet runs drip-less, so the plants below are not damaged by water falling off the head. The red body averages 18.4 GPH, and the brown body averages 23.4 GPH. A 100 ft line of red-body heads, about 34 sprinklers, draws roughly 10 GPM. Size the distributor, mainline, valve, filter and regulator to that flow times the lines run at once. Payback for a complete system usually comes within the first season of operation.
