Netafim Hanging Bases for an Overhead Watering System

Wide bays are often watered with two parallel lines of sprinklers rather than one. This carton, Netafim item 63000-006450 and model 0300HSAC-30, holds 150 hanging bases for that kind of build. Each base drops its head on 30 in of Super Flex UV White 4/7 mm polyethylene tubing. The barbed upper end inserts into the polyethylene supply pipe. A barb x female connector at the lower end receives the head. A white stabilizer weight keeps each head plumb so the two lines overlap as designed. Heads hang below the pipe, so the pipe stays dry and cannot drip onto the plants. The opaque tube prevents algae growth, and the reflective white keeps the water cooler in direct sun. It is UV resistant and stands up to heat and harsh chemicals. All parts go together by hand, and the heads are ordered separately.

Two-Line SpinNet Layouts With a 30 Inch Hanging Assembly

Two lines of SpinNet sprinklers cover single bays or quonsets from 20 to 38 ft wide. Heads go 3 ft apart along each line, with lines set 11 to 20 ft apart depending on the bay. A 24 ft bay takes lines 12 ft apart, and red body, red mist control and blue spinner heads work at every height. In a 30 ft bay with lines 16 ft apart, use the red body with a grey spinner at 3 to 5 ft above the crop. Raise those heads to 6 to 7 ft and the brown body with a blue spinner takes over. A 38 ft bay spaces the lines 20 ft apart, with green spinners on brown or red bodies. Each SpinNet head includes a check valve and runs drip-less after shutdown. A 150 ft line of brown-body heads, about 50 sprinklers, draws roughly 20 GPM. Running two such lines at once doubles that figure for the distributor, valve, filter and regulator. Flush the whole system before the heads with check valves go on.
