Two equal jets drive the rotor, so the head turns steadily without wobble. Drops fall gently, which keeps fresh media and seed in place through start-up and shutdown. A filter inside the inlet stops particles before they reach the nozzle. When the water is off, a pop-up cover closes over the works and keeps insects out. Mounting the Green Nozzle for Nursery Irrigation
The head threads onto any 1/2 in female outlet, on a fixed PVC riser or a portable stand. A MegaStand with one 16 in riser holds the head about 20 in above ground, and a second riser lifts it to about 39 in. Its wide base sits on 2 in FlexNet layflat pipe and assembles by hand without tools. Hold 29 to 44 psi at the head, which gives about 1.59 GPM at 36 psi and 1.74 GPM at 44 psi. On a 26 x 33 ft grid that lays down roughly 0.18 to 0.20 in per hour. At the widest suggested spacing of 33 x 33 ft, the rate eases to about 0.14 to 0.16 in per hour. Water from lakes or rivers needs 40 mesh filtration, while clean supplies need none. Lift out and rinse the inlet filter before the season starts. Replacement filters, black locking pins and turbines are stocked as spare parts. This nozzle size takes the black turbine, part 63620-002000, when worn parts are replaced.
