Everything in the Hi-Flo NDS End Kit, Part by Part
This is the terminal assembly of a Nutrient Delivery System, the last section after the dosers. The kit carries twelve line items and each one has a job. One is the mixing chamber, which is where concentrate and water actually blend before reaching a crop. Five 4 in nipples and two 1 1/2 in close nipples make up the body of the run. A 1 1/2 in cross gives the chamber its injection and sampling branches. Two 1 1/2 in to 3/4 in reducer bushings step the line down, and a 3/4 in to 1/4 in bushing steps it down again for the gauge port. A 3/4 in close nipple finishes that branch. A Banjo ball valve lets the section be isolated without draining the whole line. A pressure gauge sits on the small port, so working pressure is visible at a glance. A union lets the assembly be broken apart for service rather than cut out. A hose adapter and a roll of pink thread tape complete the kit. Pink tape rather than white is the heavier gauge intended for larger threads.
Where an End Kit Fits in a Fertilizer Injector Plumbing Kit Chain
Dilution Solutions build the system in sections, and this is the one at the end of the line. Upstream sit the Starter Kit, the dosers themselves and a Water Hammer Arrestor Kit. At the end you take either this End Kit or a Monitor Kit, and that is the whole decision. Both of them carry the mixing chamber. The Monitor Kit adds a meter reading pH, conductivity and temperature from inside the pipe. The End Kit gives a pressure gauge and nothing electronic. Take the End Kit when readings come by hand from a sample port, or when a monitor already sits elsewhere on the line. This is the Hi-Flo size, meaning one and a half inch line, and that series runs from 2.2 to 40 GPM. The Lo-Flo version runs three quarter inch line to 14 GPM instead, so the two are not interchangeable. The kit ships at 9 lbs in a carton measuring roughly 23 in by 9 in. Equivalent fittings are sometimes substituted, with the same fit and function.
