OG Biowar Root Pack: Fungi and Bacteria for a Living Root Zone

The Root Pack is the core of the OG Biowar line, a proprietary blend of concentrated beneficial fungi and bacteria carried on pharmaceutical-grade talc. OG Biowar is clear that it is not a fertilizer. It works alongside whatever nutrient program you already run, colonizing the root zone so roots develop in a living environment instead of a sterile one. The blend also includes species that discourage algae on rockwool surfaces, a practical win on slabs and cubes under strong light. In recirculating hydro, the manufacturer's rate is 1/3 teaspoon per gallon of reservoir. A recirculating pump in the tank keeps the culture from sitting in stagnant water. The day after a reservoir change, once nutrients and pH are already dialed in, is the time to add it. Seeds can pre-soak for a full day at 3 teaspoons per liter, and cuttings take 1 teaspoon per liter in the rooting solution. Applied early and weekly, the colonies grow with the roots rather than starting over every time.

Using a Microbial Inoculant Across Soil, Coco and Hydro

As a drench, a microbial inoculant like this goes in at 1 teaspoon per liter of distilled or non-chlorinated water, once a week. Mix it until cloudy, give the talc three minutes to drop, then water in the liquid and leave the sediment behind. For new containers, work 1 teaspoon of dry powder into each gallon of mix before planting. OG Biowar's preferred method is still the Bio Brew. Four tablespoons each of Root and Foliar Pack go into 4 gallons of non-chlorinated water with 100 mL of unsulphured molasses and a stocking of worm castings. Aerate it for two to four hours. Then dilute one to two cups per five gallons in recirculating hydro, or one part to ten in drain-to-waste. Chlorinated water undoes all of it, so dechlorinate first or run RO. Hydrogen peroxide and other reservoir sterilizers will kill the culture too. It stays in the rotation right up to harvest.
