When a Stealth RO Booster Pump Is the Fix

Below 40 psi at the inlet. That is the line. A membrane needs pressure to push water across it. Under that figure a system makes less pure water, sends more down the drain and rejects fewer dissolved solids. This pump holds the inlet at a constant 65 psi, and HydroLogic rates it to 70.

Well Water, Gravity Feed and Other Low Water Pressure Cases

Wells and gravity fed tanks are the usual culprits. City supply can be too, at the end of a long run or on an upper floor. The only way to know is a gauge on the inlet. The kit is 110V and arrives with a low voltage transformer, a high pressure switch and a power cord, on 3/8 in quick connect fittings. It fits the Stealth-RO100, 150, 200 and 300, and it goes in ahead of the system rather than after it. At about 9 lbs and 12.75 by 6.5 by 5 in it wants a shelf or a bracket, not the tubing holding it up. If your inlet already reads 60 psi or better, this buys you very little, and the money goes further in filters.
