This is the panel a Quest Dual overhead breathes through, and the grade Quest ships it with. MERV 11 media stops the leaf dust and spores a grow room drives across the evaporator. It does that without closing down the airflow the way a finer panel can in a dusty room. The coil is the whole point: a clean one gets rinsed, a loaded one comes apart. Quest catalogues the filter as 16 x 20 x 2 and a tape reads 19.5 x 15.5 x 1.75. Match on part 4021475-01 and the gap stops mattering.

Quest MERV 11 Replacement Filter and What It Keeps Off the Coil

Quest part 4021475-01 is the standard pleat MERV 11 panel on the return side of a Dual overhead. Everything the unit breathes goes through it first. Leaf litter, perlite dust, spent media, spores. The EPA holds MERV 11 to 65 percent or better capture from 1 to 3 microns and 85 percent from 3 to 10. That covers most of what a flowering room actually throws off. Quest catalogues the panel as 16 x 20 x 2. A tape across it reads 19.5 x 15.5 x 1.75. Both are correct, since nominal rounds to the frame opening. Keeping it fresh is an airflow question. A loaded face makes the machine work against restriction, and it draws the same power for fewer pints.

Which Quest Dual Overhead Dehumidifier Filter Belongs in Your Unit

Quest lists this panel for the Dual 105, 155, 165, 205 and 225, plus the Hi-E Dry 120 and Hi-E Dry 195. Generation matters more than the pint rating here. Quest sold a Dual 155, 205 and 225, then a Next Gen carrying the same pint numbers on a different chassis. The Next Gen takes an 18 x 18 x 2 MERV 13, part 4042787, which will not seat in a Dual. Read the part number off the data plate before matching on pints. Quest's manual for this family says the filter should be checked every six months and changed at least that often. For agriculture it says to change with every grow cycle. The honest limit is grade. MERV 11 lets more of the sub-micron fraction through than the MERV 13 that fits the same slot, part 4039391. Quest lists that upgrade for the Dual units only, not the Hi-E Dry.

Key Features

  • Quest part 4021475-01: The part number to match, so a replacement is the panel Quest specifies and not a look-alike cut to a different actual size
  • MERV 11 pleated media: EPA holds the grade to 65 percent or better from 1 to 3 microns and 85 percent from 3 to 10, the range grow-room dust and spores sit in
  • Keeps the evaporator coil clean: Quest's manual warns a clogged coil can need disassembly to clean, which is the repair this panel exists to prevent
  • Protects airflow and capacity: A loaded face makes the unit draw full power for fewer pints, so fresh media is the simplest way to hold output
  • 16 x 20 x 2 nominal, 19.5 x 15.5 x 1.75 actual: Both figures published here, which settles the gap between the Quest catalogue and a tape measure
  • Fits the Dual line and Hi-E Dry: Quest publishes Dual 105, 155, 165, 205 and 225 alongside the Hi-E Dry 120 and Hi-E Dry 195 for this size
  • Not the Next Gen size: Next Gen 155, 205 and 225 units take an 18 x 18 x 2 MERV 13, part 4042787, the most common wrong-filter mistake in this line
  • MERV 13 upgrade in the same slot: Part 4039391 fits the identical opening when a room wants the finer grade, though Quest lists it for the Dual units only
