Quest Overhead Dehumidifier Hanging Bracket
This is Quest's factory bracket for hanging a Quest Dual dehumidifier overhead instead of setting it on the floor. It fits the Dual 105, 155, 165, 205, 215 and 225. Each package holds one bracket, and every dehumidifier needs two. The brackets fasten to the cabinet with the mounting screws provided. Once both are on, the unit hangs from them on chain or threaded rod tied into the ceiling structure. Getting a dehumidifier off the floor frees space for benches, walkways and carts. Installing a Dehumidifier Hanger Safely
A dehumidifier hanger only works if the ceiling structure can carry the load. Quest Dual units are heavy, so anchor into joists, trusses or strut channel rather than drywall. Fit both brackets to the cabinet on the floor, then lift the unit into place with a helper or a lift. Use chain or threaded rod rated well above the unit's weight, and keep the hangers vertical. Level the cabinet so the condensate drains toward the outlet instead of pooling. Plan the drain line or condensate pump before the unit goes up, since access gets harder once it hangs. Leave room around the filter door so the filter can still slide out for cleaning. Keep the discharge clear of lights and duct runs so dry air reaches the canopy. Hang the unit where its cord reaches the outlet without an extension. Check the hardware every few months for loosened nuts or stretched links.
