A reflector-to-ballast adapter for mismatched plugs
The BAASR is a small receptacle adapter that bridges a Hydrofarm ballast to a Brand S plug, the common Sunlight Supply-style standard. Without it, the two plug standards will not mate, so a Hydrofarm ballast cannot drive a Brand S reflector. It solves that with one inexpensive part instead of replacing a cord or ballast. Growers keep a couple on hand when mixing gear from different brands across a room.
When the BAASR adapter helps
Reach for it any time a Hydrofarm ballast needs to feed a Brand S reflector or cord set. It is the receptacle version. If you need the reverse, a Brand S ballast into a Hydrofarm reflector, that is the matching BAASP plug adapter. One note: an adapter does not extend range, and very long lamp cords can fall outside an ignitor's range on some HID systems.
