This is the replacement outer sleeve for Can-Filters size 150, part number 700735. Size 150 is the largest in the Can-Filters pre-filter range, used on the big carbon filters that serve full grow rooms. The sleeve wraps the outside of the filter and traps particulate before air reaches the carbon. Can-Filters rates the mesh at MERV-5, which stops pollen, dust and similar debris. Air resistance is very low, so a clean sleeve barely affects the fan. On a filter this size, that matters. A large fan moving air through a clogged sleeve wastes power and loses exhaust across the whole room. Worse, dust that slips past a worn sleeve embeds in the carbon and shortens its useful life.
