Root Royale Easy Load Coco arrives as a plastic grow bag with a compressed coco block already inside. The container and the substrate come as one piece. The block is a pre-mixed proprietary blend of coco coir fiber and coco chips, made from quality, hand-selected coconut husks. That mix of fine fiber and coarser chunks balances water, nutrient and air retention, which keeps roots active and plants vigorous. The medium is multi-washed, heat treated and aged to bring salts down to an EC below 0.3, and it ships pH balanced. It is free of pesticides, pathogens and heavy metals, synthetic free, and OMRI listed for organic use. Once bagged, the coco is stored indoors in a controlled environment and never re-exposed to the elements. The bag itself is non-biodegradable plastic that stands upright, with drainage holes along the base, so it needs no outer pot. The coco inside is 100% natural, biodegradable and compostable once the crop comes out. Sizes run from 1 gallon through 1.5, 2 and 3 gallons up to 5 gallons, all built the same way. Setting Up a Ready-to-Use Grow Bag on Planting Day

The plastic shell is the trade-off. Unlike the coco, it does not break down, so cut it away and recycle or discard it at the end of the run. The spent coco is pet safe and free of synthetic additives, so it can go straight into compost or a garden bed.
